Today is the official "Square Root" Day, March 3, 2009. This is celebrated on days when both the day of the month and the month are the square root of the last two digits of the year. The last Square Root Day was February 2, 2004 (2/2/04) and the next Square Root Day will be April 4, 2016(4/4/16). The final Square Root day of the century will occur on September 9, 2081. WOW! Each century, Square Root Days fall upon the same nine dates. How awesome is that!
In celebration of Square Root Day, I would like to honor SpongeBob Squarepants from the brilliant "SpongeBob" cartoon series. I fell in love with the television series many years ago and love all the characters. The story line is about a SpongeBob Squarepants (a sponge) and the star of the show and his friends. His best friend who is Patrick Star (a star fish) enjoys doing anything his best friend SpongeBob does. They hang out and enjoy so many activities and outings together! Then there is Sandy Cheeks (a squirrel) and a land creature who wanted to live under the water and wears a pressurized suit. Next is Squidward Tentacles (an octopus) who is not the most positive person to hang out with. He could learn a lot from SpongeBob Squarepants and Patrick about going with the flow in life! Gary (a snail) is SpongeBob's pet and appears to be extremely smart. If you want to find out more about the show and the characters, I would invite you to start watching the series!
Below is one of my favorite scenes called "walk it off." I love it!
Stay tuned to Spongebob and remember to be flexible in life and go with the flow.
A few weeks ago we had a water breakage in front of our home. The Richmond Hill team came right over to see what was happening and said we had an emergency on our hands. They stated they would be back promptly the next morning early to look after the problem. We were out for the afternoon and when we arrived they had already started the preparation for the next day and there was a huge red bin set up up around the area of the leak! This really looked like a bigger job than we thought. The next morning the amazing crew began to arrive and worked diligently on fixing the problem.
These guys were amazing, along with being very funny! Our water was shut off so we couldn't make coffee or have a shower until they finished the project, but that was o.k. because we were going with the flow! Which was great because the next "go with the flow" arrived. I had an appointment to go to and when I got in my car, one windshield wiper was broken! I just laughed and my husband and our neighbor stepped up to the task of fixing this temporarily so I continued with the flow!
Here I am with the amazing Richmond Hill team! To my right is Chad, to my left is Wilf, Mike and Joe. Thanks guys!
The message here is to be flexible in life and go with the flow! All is well and if you look at the bigger picture, this became a funny story to share with all of you. It could also be material for a stand up routine! The possibilities are endless!
Live the Passion
