CARIBBEAN CRUISING

We started our Caribbean Cruising Adventure flying to one of our favorite places, San Juan, Puerto Rico. We booked our flight two days before the date we would be boarding Celebrity's beautiful Summit as Enrichment Speakers and part of Celebrity Life. This was also special as Celebrity Cruises was celebrating 20 years of delivering award-winning service, world-class cuisine, and stunningly-designed ships. Congratulations Celebrity!

Cliff and I enjoyed walking the many blue cobblestone streets of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico which takes you back in time. The picturesque colonial buildings where some of the old stone buildings date back to the 16th and 17th century when Puerto Rico was in Spanish possession. Old San Juan was declared in 1983 a World Heritage Site by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization.) We also came across this beautiful Falls on our walk throughout the town. Fun shopping, open air cafes, restaurants (we enjoyed our morning coffee, juice and croissants at 'La Bombonera'), museums, historic sites and the beauty of the architecture and the people! We have been to Old San Juan many times now and have new friends who we look forward to seeing on our next visit. We also will be definitely visiting the Old Fort San Felipe del Morro and the many cats that roam the streets.Another 'must see' is the 'Raices Fountain' which celebrates Puerto Rico's Taino, Spanish and African heritage. Cliff and I were walking along a winding path that goes around the city wall, Paseo del Morro and we were pleasantly surprised and delighted when we discovered the Raices Fountain. We were told that if you would like to have a real romantic experience, wander down Recinto Oeste Street and walk through the San Juan Gate, along the Paseo del Morro path and be at the Racies Rountain close to sunset. This is on our bucket list for our next visit to Old San Juan, along with visiting the Fort.

We discovered another fountain on our walkabout in Old San Juan and promptly threw in our coins and made our wishes! Here we are with new friends Fred and Lydia from Troy Michigan. A wonderful excursion booked with our ship was dolphin and whale watching in Roseau, Dominica. We all shared a joke about a blow up whale being thrown off the side and yelling "Whale!" was hysterical. A lot of fun and this was the most amazing experience, watching the two Sperm Whales decent into the water. Very humbling and no words really can explain the beauty of these magestic and beautiful mammals.!Here I am with our very informative driver and tour director, Andrew. His passion is to share the history of his home and the wonderful island of St. Kitts. A must see for everyone is to enjoy the view of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean sea! This was spectacular and thank you Andrew! We will definitely visit your charming island again.

We also had time to hang out and relax on a secluded beach in St. Kitts. We felt like we were on the television show 'Survivor' with our tiki hut! Cliff and I loved the privacy of this secluded beach, along with snorkeling and watching the green monkeys who roam the island.

On the beautiful island of St. Lucia, which was highlighted on the show 'The Bachelor', we decided to book an excursion through our ship and take a 'High Aerial' tour of the Rain Forest. The untouched beauty and magnificence of the Rain Forest, along with extremely knowledgeable tour guides, created a memorable experience. Here is a picture of a giant fiddlehead! Wow!In St. Martin, Cliff and I literally hanging out with our new friend from the Buddha Restaurant, a short walk from the port. Lot's of fun and just chillin!

On our walk back to our ship, we spotted this tiny little green guy who was so cool! We had to stop and take the picture of this amazing little guy! You never know what you will discover and who you will meet, when you are on an adventure and open to the possibilities! At the Port in St. George's Grenada where Cliff is on duty giving directions! Here he is singing and dancing to the "Cupid Shuffle." and pointing to our beautiful Celebrity Summit. I can hear him now as he shakes his booty! "To the Right - to the Right - to the Right and shake it all out!"

The Sendall Tunnel was built in 1894 and the tunnel provided you with one of the ways to walk to the other side of the rock mountain that divides the town. Another choice is to climb the steep stairs that will take you around the mountain. We decided to walk through the tunnel along with the islanders as they are busy going about their day.

One of our favorite islands is Grenada which is known as the Spice Island. You will discover beautiful white sand beaches; snorkeling, crystal clear waters, friendly people and the colorful and exciting markets. Here I am purchasing spices from one of the lovely and friendly Grenada women. The people welcome you like you are part of their families and I cherished our time on this island.
Relaxing at Anna and Brian's BB's Crabback's Caribbean Restaurant. Anna having fun pointing to an artistic drawing of Brian. Do you feel the energy and fun in this picture?! Then Cliff and I enjoying one of Brian's signature dishes at BB's Crabback's restaurant. Anna also created a herb concoction for a special complimentary christmas drink for Cliff! Thank you Brian and Anna for your wonderful hospitality and Nigel we loved your steel drum music. This was the perfect way to complete a perfect day in paradise! Please enjoy our short interview with Brian and Anna and the island music played by Nigel. island interview.

Cliff and I with Simon from Kent, United Kingdom and who was the Port and Shopping Expert aboard Celebrity Summit. We will miss you on our next cruise, as we know you are now on another one of the beautiful Celebrity lines. Wishing you continued success and thank you for introducing us to 'BB's Crabback's Caribbean Restaurant' a secret in the Caribbean!
A BIG thank you to all the staff and the special people who we came to know. Here we are with our 'James Bond' team as we came to know them. They moved about with such skill and passion for what they do and how they looked after each guest, so each guest felt special. Russel, who got us the perfect table each night and also our James Bond (yes I think that is his name!), who talked discretely into his hidden away on his wrist and out of sight walkie talkie. This was like we were watching the art form of ballet, as tables were cleared and voila another person was welcomed into the dining room and whisked away to their beautiful table. WOW!
Please enjoy the many pictures of the staff who looked after us every evening. Hugs and thank you from Cliff and myself for creating such a lovely experience on all fronts! Here I am here with Predrag, the Matre'D in the lovely Cosmopolitan Restaurant. Predrag was also very funny as you can see in the above picture, dashing in front of the camera shot! We all laughed so hard and always had fun!
Dinner with our new friends Bob and Deborah from Fullerton, California. We loved getting to know you both and what fun your stories on the cat! A cruise experience is so wonderful that you have the opportunity to meet new people from around the world and make great friends!
Our beautiful dinner companions Tammy and Laura from the U.K. What a beautiful way to end the evening and I even think that we closed the restaurant that evening! One of the beautiful creations from the Chef and staff on board the Celebrity Summit. A true art form and just beautiful! You almost choose not to eat these art forms...NOT! Just joking, we dove into many of these lovely delicacies and yum yum!The team in the Shopping Emporium Gift Boutiques! What a young and dynamic team you are! We loved joking around with all of you and of course you looked after us with our shopping spree! We can't wait to see you on our next cruise with you! Here I am with Pablo on one of our evening ventures! To all our new friends: Sebastian; Mireqa; Suzana; Zore; Rodger; our Cova bartender, Sapaat and Florentina, hugs to your all. If I have missed anyone, please know that you are all special to us and part of our new family. You are always welcome in our home in Canada. One of our nightly visits to the Cova Cafe de Milano for a late night coffee or glass of wine and enjoying the classical music. You guys rock! During the day we also loved playing chess in the games room which is beside the Cova Cafe. You can enjoy a latte or expresso and enjoy flaky croissants, special cookies and exotic snacks. We thoroughly enjoyed our latte and thank you Zore for taking the time to add smiles and hearts to our coffee. What a delight and you truly are an artist!

Another place you could relax was at the Aft of the Ship, the Veranda. Have a cool drink and listen to the music of Guitarist Charlie Butler, who was great! You could also visit the Piano Bar in Michael's Club and listen to Tammy Rafferty. So much to do in so little time! We enjoyed our dinner one evening on the Veranda enjoying the Caribbean breeze and stars. How romantic!Spending time in the Celebrity iLounge and catch up on what is happening at home through internet. You can also participate in the iLearn Enrichment series of pick up the latest high-tech gadgets from the first Apple Reseller at Sea. The staff are talented and knowledgeable staff. Thank you Warren and Cedric for all your help in the iLounge. Next time I will be taking some of your wonderful classes which will also help me back home on my Mac!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

July 1st and Happy Canada Day! A wonderful day to have a barbecue, share time with family and friends and take time to relax and slow down. Our family is off for a bike ride and to enjoy the lovely area we live in and the outdoors. So, my wish for you today is to stop and smell the roses and celebrate you today with gratitude!

On Parliament Hill in Ottawa today more than 70,000 people greeted queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. They are on a nine-day tour of Canada and the 84 year old lovely monarch was here to celebrate and honor her first Canada Day in Ottawa since 1997. This is the country's 143rd birthday and the crowd of thousands cheered and welcomed the royal couple. I couldn't be there in person, I am there in spirit cheering on!

I wanted to share the 2010 Vancouver Olympic song "I Believe" by Nikki Yanosfsky, a beautiful and talented young star in honor of Canada Day and in honor of each one of us. The lyrics are powerful and are directed to all of us worldwide, "I Believe in the Power of You and I." Enjoy today and the celebration of each one of us and all of our countries every day!

Live Life with Passion and Happy Canada Day!

THE MIRACLE OF LIFE

Today I would like to share with you four inspirational videos. I encourage you to leave comments on the blog and start a dialogue with other people about the Miracle of Life and the Power of your Belief System. There are many ways that we can truly connect with our true authentic self. We are unlimited spiritual beings living a physical life and when we truly discover ourselves and take the time to quiet the mind, chatter and the ego part of ourselves, to go within, we can re-connect with our true essence. Ask yourself, Who am I really? and allow the information to flow to you with ease.

You can also take a walk in nature and experience 'being the tree', 'being the flower', be one with nature. Every thing in the world is energy and vibrates at frequencies. In the book "The True Power of Water" by Dr. Masaru Emoto, he shares with us how our physical bodies are 70% water and how water we can heal ourselves and the planet through paying attention to our thoughts thoughts, words, vibrations and intentions. Be in gratitude, love, thankfulness each day and see the miracles unfold in your life.

My wish for you is to take time every day, even if this is 15 minutes, to create a space where you will not be interrupted and quiet your mind, go within and connect with your brilliance. It is in this space that you can become clear on your path in life, your vision, purpose and re-claim all your creativity. Commit to doing this for even one month and you will start to see doors open up to you, the right people coming into your life and the unlimited possibilities.

I invite you to take time now to fully enjoy this beautiful movie segment of Planet Earth - The Jewel of the Universe. I love the lyrics and music by OWL, Fireflies.

Here is another inspirational video about the Miracle of Believing, with Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston singing one of the songs from the Soundtrack movie "The Prince of Egypt."

We are all unique and have special skills and talents. Discover your passions, your purpose and live your life to the fullest - one passion at a time! I am also offering a two for one Holiday Special on my CD Audiobook "8 Keys to Unlocking Infinite Passion." This is a wonderful opportunity to gift yourself and a friend the Gift of discovering your passion and creating the life of your dreams NOW. What are you waiting for?

Namaste,

Moira

WHAT IS F.E.A.R.?

I love the acroynm that Neale Donald Walsh, 'Conversations with God' uses for the word F.E.A.R. In my last newsletter, I stated that I would be posting a video of Neale discussing the topic of the word FEAR. I also invite you to sign up for our V.I.P. (Vision, Integrity, Passion and Purpose) newsletter and as a thank you, you will receive one free chapter of our "8 Keys to Unlocking Infinite Passion" chapter on the law of attraction and passion. Watch this inspirational video and leave your comments on how you feel this could impact the way you are 'being' each day.

So what really is FEAR? Is it real or is it an illusion.

There are really only two main states to come from, one is LOVE and the other one is Fear. Then there are many other levels of emotions in between, such as Anxiety, Depression and on the other end of the spectrum you may experience the emotion of Appreciation, Joy and Passion. Neale states that fear is based on the thought that we feel we need something and we think we are not going to get it (the fear.) One of the great questions he asked is "What are we afraid of and what is the impact it is having on our state of being?"

Remember in the days of prehistoric reptiles such as the dinosaurs. Then cave women and men came along and they instinctively understood the "flight or fight" response. Imagine having a Tyrannosaurus looking at you as his next meal?

Do you know that what one thinks about will actually result in a shift in your physiological state and in your body? Our bodies interpret our thoughts as real and if you are in a state of fear, the body will respond to what you are thinking and will create a real stress response.

The "fight or flight" response was originally discovered by Walter Cannon, a Harvard physiologist. He stated that this response originates in the hypothalamus area of our brain, and when stimulated it will start a sequence of firing your nerve cells, and release chemicals that will prepare the body for running (flight) or a fight (the fight response). The fight or flight response does not work with our rational mind, however it is an important element of our body's primitive and inborn response that engages when the body perceives the threat to our physical survival.

In the video Neale shared this acroynm for F.E.A.R. The letter F for Feeling; E for Excited; A for the word And ; and R is for Ready . How brilliant is this and what a great reframe for you to experience each day from this framework. You are feeling first, then excited about what is showing up and ready for all the wonderful blessings and people, places and things to come into your awareness throughout the day! Imagine how it would be to see the world through this perspective.

Throughout the years I have used a cool exercise on how limited we can be at times and how we really perceive the world. Take a regular size of paper 8 x 11 inches and roll the paper up so it is turned into a telescope. Now look around you and as you do, begin to allow this telescope to get bigger, so you can see more around you. You will begin to notice that you see more and can take in more of your surroundings. If you think about this as a metaphor and how you see the world, you will notice that we only take in so much information each day.

So my motto is to check out if your fear is 'real' or ask yourself if it is 'an illusion?' Are you coming from love, joy and happiness, or from the emotions of anger, jealousy, sadness and struggle. Challenge yourself to embrace the new. Learn how to do something new today, or experience a new activity. You could sign up for a new sport, take a walk, start knitting, challenge yourself to move through false evidence appearing real (in a healthy and safe way.)

SQUARE ROOT DAY & SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS

Today is the official "Square Root" Day, March 3, 2009. This is celebrated on days when both the day of the month and the month are the square root of the last two digits of the year. The last Square Root Day was February 2, 2004 (2/2/04) and the next Square Root Day will be April 4, 2016(4/4/16). The final Square Root day of the century will occur on September 9, 2081. WOW! Each century, Square Root Days fall upon the same nine dates. How awesome is that!

In celebration of Square Root Day, I would like to honor SpongeBob Squarepants from the brilliant "SpongeBob" cartoon series. I fell in love with the television series many years ago and love all the characters. The story line is about a SpongeBob Squarepants (a sponge) and the star of the show and his friends. His best friend who is Patrick Star (a star fish) enjoys doing anything his best friend SpongeBob does. They hang out and enjoy so many activities and outings together! Then there is Sandy Cheeks (a squirrel) and a land creature who wanted to live under the water and wears a pressurized suit. Next is Squidward Tentacles (an octopus) who is not the most positive person to hang out with. He could learn a lot from SpongeBob Squarepants and Patrick about going with the flow in life! Gary (a snail) is SpongeBob's pet and appears to be extremely smart. If you want to find out more about the show and the characters, I would invite you to start watching the series!

Below is one of my favorite scenes called "walk it off." I love it!

Stay tuned to Spongebob and remember to be flexible in life and go with the flow.

A few weeks ago we had a water breakage in front of our home. The Richmond Hill team came right over to see what was happening and said we had an emergency on our hands. They stated they would be back promptly the next morning early to look after the problem. We were out for the afternoon and when we arrived they had already started the preparation for the next day and there was a huge red bin set up up around the area of the leak! This really looked like a bigger job than we thought. The next morning the amazing crew began to arrive and worked diligently on fixing the problem.

These guys were amazing, along with being very funny! Our water was shut off so we couldn't make coffee or have a shower until they finished the project, but that was o.k. because we were going with the flow! Which was great because the next "go with the flow" arrived. I had an appointment to go to and when I got in my car, one windshield wiper was broken! I just laughed and my husband and our neighbor stepped up to the task of fixing this temporarily so I continued with the flow!

Here I am with the amazing Richmond Hill team! To my right is Chad, to my left is Wilf, Mike and Joe. Thanks guys!

The message here is to be flexible in life and go with the flow! All is well and if you look at the bigger picture, this became a funny story to share with all of you. It could also be material for a stand up routine! The possibilities are endless!

PRESIDENT'S DAY & OBAMA'S PASSION

How is Passion tied into the tradition of the annual Sugar Bowl celebration and President's Day?

I started a blog on the day of the inauguration but didn't have the opportunity to post it. This was a memorable day in history when Barack Obama took his solemn oaths and became America's 44th president. Many of us shared tears of joy and felt the passion in our hearts as we watched the inauguration and listened to the powerful speech Barack made. I believe Martin Luther King's famous quote "I Have a Dream" resonates with America's new president. I love this picture in front of the Martin Luther King Center! How powerful and awesome is that?

We talked about February being the month of Passion and Valentine's Day. I wanted to talk about a man who is passionate about life and I couldn't resist this exclusive interview (below) on NBC with President Obama.

His passion for his family, his beautiful wife Michelle, his beautiful daughters Malia and Sasha, his love of sports and football as he talks about the American tradition of the Sugar Bowl; thanking the troops who are away from their families and serving their country. His passions are so real, it is almost like having a real conversation with him in your living room!

He shares his feelings of his mother-in-law who lives with them in the White House and the fact that his mother-in-law supports him when Michelle comes down hard on him. Who shares this information honestly with the public today in the political environment? Wow! What a refreshing new and awesome beginning of a new era for all of us, with a leader who truly leads and inspires others to step up and be responsible in our lives.

He is a person who we can talk to, believe in and know he will do the best for his country and the people.

This is an amazing family and I am thankful that he is the President of the United States. Below is a great picture of the family traveling from their house in Hyde Park, Chicago and returning to their new home, the White House on Air Force One.

So, in the midst of the challenges we currently are all aware of and doing our best to keep these in perspective, he speaks honestly and openly, providing us with a guiding light and a role model to follow and can you imagine that, a politician who is really a leader and a role model. He inspires us all to walk our talk and regardless of what is going around us to just do it! Like Nike says - and step up to leadership.

Celebrate President's Day all week and send great vibes to the President and his family. Celebrate along with him, his passion's (one of them being Football), his family, all countries and celebrate your own passions every day!

It is up to you to choose how you are going to make a difference in your life and contribute to others and build strong communities? The challenge to step up to leadership, build strong communities and pay it forward one passion at a time.

Continue to Live the Infinite Passions!
