THE MIRACLE OF LIFE

Today I would like to share with you four inspirational videos. I encourage you to leave comments on the blog and start a dialogue with other people about the Miracle of Life and the Power of your Belief System. There are many ways that we can truly connect with our true authentic self. We are unlimited spiritual beings living a physical life and when we truly discover ourselves and take the time to quiet the mind, chatter and the ego part of ourselves, to go within, we can re-connect with our true essence. Ask yourself, Who am I really? and allow the information to flow to you with ease.

You can also take a walk in nature and experience 'being the tree', 'being the flower', be one with nature. Every thing in the world is energy and vibrates at frequencies. In the book "The True Power of Water" by Dr. Masaru Emoto, he shares with us how our physical bodies are 70% water and how water we can heal ourselves and the planet through paying attention to our thoughts thoughts, words, vibrations and intentions. Be in gratitude, love, thankfulness each day and see the miracles unfold in your life.

My wish for you is to take time every day, even if this is 15 minutes, to create a space where you will not be interrupted and quiet your mind, go within and connect with your brilliance. It is in this space that you can become clear on your path in life, your vision, purpose and re-claim all your creativity. Commit to doing this for even one month and you will start to see doors open up to you, the right people coming into your life and the unlimited possibilities.

I invite you to take time now to fully enjoy this beautiful movie segment of Planet Earth - The Jewel of the Universe. I love the lyrics and music by OWL, Fireflies.

Here is another inspirational video about the Miracle of Believing, with Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston singing one of the songs from the Soundtrack movie "The Prince of Egypt."

We are all unique and have special skills and talents. Discover your passions, your purpose and live your life to the fullest - one passion at a time! I am also offering a two for one Holiday Special on my CD Audiobook "8 Keys to Unlocking Infinite Passion." This is a wonderful opportunity to gift yourself and a friend the Gift of discovering your passion and creating the life of your dreams NOW. What are you waiting for?

Namaste,

WHAT IS F.E.A.R.?

I love the acroynm that Neale Donald Walsh, 'Conversations with God' uses for the word F.E.A.R. In my last newsletter, I stated that I would be posting a video of Neale discussing the topic of the word FEAR. I also invite you to sign up for our V.I.P. (Vision, Integrity, Passion and Purpose) newsletter and as a thank you, you will receive one free chapter of our "8 Keys to Unlocking Infinite Passion" chapter on the law of attraction and passion. Watch this inspirational video and leave your comments on how you feel this could impact the way you are 'being' each day.

So what really is FEAR? Is it real or is it an illusion.

There are really only two main states to come from, one is LOVE and the other one is Fear. Then there are many other levels of emotions in between, such as Anxiety, Depression and on the other end of the spectrum you may experience the emotion of Appreciation, Joy and Passion. Neale states that fear is based on the thought that we feel we need something and we think we are not going to get it (the fear.) One of the great questions he asked is "What are we afraid of and what is the impact it is having on our state of being?"

Remember in the days of prehistoric reptiles such as the dinosaurs. Then cave women and men came along and they instinctively understood the "flight or fight" response. Imagine having a Tyrannosaurus looking at you as his next meal?

Do you know that what one thinks about will actually result in a shift in your physiological state and in your body? Our bodies interpret our thoughts as real and if you are in a state of fear, the body will respond to what you are thinking and will create a real stress response.

The "fight or flight" response was originally discovered by Walter Cannon, a Harvard physiologist. He stated that this response originates in the hypothalamus area of our brain, and when stimulated it will start a sequence of firing your nerve cells, and release chemicals that will prepare the body for running (flight) or a fight (the fight response). The fight or flight response does not work with our rational mind, however it is an important element of our body's primitive and inborn response that engages when the body perceives the threat to our physical survival.

In the video Neale shared this acroynm for F.E.A.R. The letter F for Feeling; E for Excited; A for the word And ; and R is for Ready . How brilliant is this and what a great reframe for you to experience each day from this framework. You are feeling first, then excited about what is showing up and ready for all the wonderful blessings and people, places and things to come into your awareness throughout the day! Imagine how it would be to see the world through this perspective.

Throughout the years I have used a cool exercise on how limited we can be at times and how we really perceive the world. Take a regular size of paper 8 x 11 inches and roll the paper up so it is turned into a telescope. Now look around you and as you do, begin to allow this telescope to get bigger, so you can see more around you. You will begin to notice that you see more and can take in more of your surroundings. If you think about this as a metaphor and how you see the world, you will notice that we only take in so much information each day.

So my motto is to check out if your fear is 'real' or ask yourself if it is 'an illusion?' Are you coming from love, joy and happiness, or from the emotions of anger, jealousy, sadness and struggle. Challenge yourself to embrace the new. Learn how to do something new today, or experience a new activity. You could sign up for a new sport, take a walk, start knitting, challenge yourself to move through false evidence appearing real (in a healthy and safe way.)

WHAT DOES SMILING HAVE TO DO WITH LIFE?

My husband Cliff and I returned home from an Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Royal Caribbean's ship Grandeur of the Seas and it was grand! We were part of the Enrichment Program and presented our key notes to the guests on board. From start to finish, the whole experience was wonderful and we will be speaking again at Christmas on their sister ship Celebrity's Century.

I love being creative and working outside the box to create new ideas and explore new opportunities and possibilities in life. I had a blast on this journey, anchoring the feeling of 'be happy, be abundant, be wealthy in mind and spirit, and be in gratitude.' So, you might ask what does smiling have to do with all of this and life? Well, in the Law of Attraction, which is one of my key notes, the Law simply states "Like attracts like: that is like unto itself is drawn." Every thing is energy and if you use the metaphor of you being a magnet, you draw circumstances, people and opportunities into your life's experience. If you want more abundance, joy and harmony in your life, you must be in alignment with this. As you are thinking and speaking and feeling, you are creating. So, know your clear intention of what you want to create in life and pay attention to where you are putting your attention. Always turn to what you want in every discussion and in everything you do.

This is where I would like to formally introduce you to and welcome the "Smiley Ball!"

From the start of this exciting journey to the completion, the Smiley Ball took on a life of it's own. My first idea was to add the Smiley Ball to my enrichment key note presentation "The Secret behind the Secret Movie: The Law of Attraction and Passion." However, as we began this journey another 'aha' moment happened and I thought it would be great to take the Smiley Ball with us during our journey and share this with people we met, the places we visited and this piqued interest in the talks we presented. This was so much fun and I wanted to share some of the pictures with you, the ports we visited and some of the amazing people we met along the way. Also, a huge thank you to all of the people I met and who attended our talks on the cruise. We loved talking with you, giving our key notes and having fun with you on this voyage. Edutainment Style!

Here is the beginning of our journey with 'Smiley Ball' at the Toronto Pearson airport. We are just boarding Air Canada's Jazz plane en route to Baltimore, Maryland. This picture is in honor of 'Smiley Ball' starting one of the many journeys we will take and to our much loved cat Jazzy!

This is inside the beautiful airport at Maryland, Baltimore. Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is an international commercial airport serving the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area in the United Stated. On October 1, 2005, the airport was renamed this to honor the former US Supreme Court justice, who grew up in Baltimore.

At the Port of Maryland, Baltimore and about to board the Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas.

We met a lovely couple from England while trying on hats in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We had fun talking with our new friends and taking a picture with Smiley Ball!

We found these very unique artistic 'cat' chairs in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Here we are at Artistic Jeweler in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands with Philip Blease, Port & Shopping Guide on the Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas, Max and Suresh from Artistic Jeweler, my husband Cliff and I and Smiley Ball!

Smiley Ball, Cliff and I are all ready to set off on our Dominican Jeep Safari Adventure in Samana the Dominican.

Smiley Ball and I are enjoying the beautiful El Valle Beach in Samana, the Dominican Republic. This was one of the highlights of our adventure and we enjoyed this virgin and untamed, white-sand beach that was fringed with palm trees. We swam in the warm waters of the Ocean and this felt like our own private oasis!

Breakfast aboard the Grandeur of the Seas. What a beautiful view, great food, Smiley Ball and our new friends, Betty and Charles.

These are our wonderful new friends, Chris and Tricia, Cliff and myself and Donna and Steve. This was the perfect table and we called our table 'The Monk Table, in honor of the show MONK. If you have not watched the show, our family loves it and there was one episode where Monk wanted to stop working with his clients and he thought it was perfect as he was with his 100th client. Low and behold, his assistant Natalie, informed him that he was working on his 101 case, so he could not stop doing his work because he could not stop at an uneven number! So, long story short, our table's number was '100' and we celebrated Monk! What fun!

Heading our for the Captain's Night and this is our beautiful cabin, Smiley Ball and our towel art!

The 'Law of Attraction' key note and some of the great people who attended the event! Cruising is an amazing way to see different ports and meet new people and new friends!

Talk about 'Top Notch' amazing staff on the Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas. Here we are with Gabriel, the talented technician and Joanna, the wonderful Cruise Program Administrator. It was wonderful to meet both of you and thank you for being amazing and brilliant!

Here I am with Smiley Ball and one of the talented photographer's, Xin Yan (Ben). We thought we would take a picture of Ben with me and Smiley Ball, as he had taken so many great pictures of us on board. We now have many of these in our home and they bring back wonderful memories of this great adventure.

Cliff, Smiley Ball and Arnold, who went out of his way every morning to bring us orange juice and coffee. Arnold was also our waiter at table 100 (the monk table!) He always greeted us with his lovely smile! The staff aboard the cruise ship come from many countries and it was great to get to know and discover each person's personal story.

The Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas has a wonderful program called 'Make a Wish Foundation' and they raise monies through individuals choosing to walk one mile for this organization. We met the brilliant Cruise Director, Clodagh (Clo) several mornings while we walked the beautiful decks. Clo is an amazing person and was out there every day, meeting other walkers and inspiring each one of us along the way. It is a way to make a difference, give back, stay fit and meet awesome people.

Smiley Ball and the artistic towel arrangement of Buddha. Our room steward George was amazing in creating these wonderful towel creations each evening. What a wonderful surprize!

The last day of our amazing cruise and we are just about to disembark from the Grandeur of the Seas. We wanted to take a picture with Smiley Ball and Otto, the Marketing & Revenue Manager on the Royal Caribbean, however, every time we met Otto, Smiley Ball was having a nap in the cabin! We look forward to the next time we meet Otto and taking this picture. It was a real pleasure meeting you and we enjoyed the talks that we shared!

So, remember to smile every day and go about your day laughing, being in joy and gratitude and celebrating our brilliant lives! Life is a wonderful journey, so smile and say hello to others each day with a smile. I know you will begin to see many smiling faces right back to you!

THE SOUND OF MUSIC AND FOLLOWING YOUR DREAMS

In celebration of my mum's 82nd birthday, our family gifted my mum with a day to attend the wonderful musical theatre production of "The Sound of Music." My mum followed the television program "How do you Solve a Problem like Maria" in the search for Canada's New Maria and 48 wonderfully talented women entered this contest. My Mum watched every week and in the end, voted for Elicia Mackenzie and was thrilled when she was chosen. She was even more excited when she found out that we were going to see the show and I wanted to add another little (no, really BIG) surprise for her! With the help of the wonderful Mirvish Production staff we arranged for my mum to go backstage after the show and meet Elicia MacKenzie (Maria Rainer), Noella Hunt (the Mother Abbess) and Burke Moses (Captain Georg von Trapp). Also, thank you to John Gray and with gratitude for all of you for taking the time to spend with my mum and make this a very special and memorable experience in her life.

The show was absolutely brilliant from the outstanding talent of the cast, the music, the costumes, the sets on stage, the beautiful Princes of Wales and the wonderful staff at Mirvish productions.
Here is Elicia singing the title song "The Sound of Music" and listen to Andrew Lloyd Webber's beautiful comments.

Opening Night October 15, 2008 and Noella Hunt is also brilliant in singing the song "Climb Every Mountain" which just brought tears to my eyes. It is very inspirational and speaks to your heart and soul. The message is to take every opportunity in your life to discover your passions and what is important to you. To never stop until you find the gems in your life and live your life to your fullest potential.

This outstanding production speaks to all age groups and everyone will go away singing all of the songs, humming along each day for weeks and more!!

Go to http://www.mirvish.com/tsom/index.html and book your seat today. Take the whole family and you all will be singing the wonderful lyrics from the songs in this brilliant production.

Here we are standing in front of Elicia's backstage dressing room. Burke, my Mum, Elicia, Noella and myself. Happy 82nd Birthday Mum!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

May the 10th is the day that we celebrate our mother's. In ancient cultures, origins of Mother's Day goes back to the era of the ancient Romans and Greeks. The Greeks celebrated this day in honor of Rhea, wife of Cronus and the mother of many deities of Greek mythology. The Romans celebrated a spring festival, called Hilaria in honor of Cybele who was the mother goddess. So, we have been celebrating this special day for many centuries.

If we explore mothers (the feminine) in the Chinese philosophy, you will discover the yin and the yang. These represent opposite principles and are the foundation of the entire universe. Yin represents the feminine principle, the moon, female, completion, material forms and the creative. Yang represents the masculine, the sun, creation, male, heat, light and heaven and taking the creative out into the world. Each one of us have both the feminine and the masculine aspects and we display these at different times.

I believe Mother's Day can be every day and we can celebrate the gift of our lives and express gratitude for this wonderful gift and journey. So, take a moment to express unconditional love and give from your heart and soul.

This year my mum and I are going to relax on Mother's Day, maybe do some gardening and enjoy the outdoors with a barbecue. My husband (who is amazing) and my son (again brilliant!) always pamper us and take the extra time to spend this special day together. Scrabble will also be in the works and a cup of tea for my mum and goodies (the British way!)

I wanted to share this beautiful disney video below that says it all - LOVE and "that's the way it is!" This encompasses motherhood for me, always believing in you; helping you find your way; knowing you can win; always there for you and LOVE.

So, again Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers in the world! Also, take the time to celebrate Mother Earth and all the beautiful gifts she gives us every day. Nurture all these relationships and see them bloom and grow.

HAPPY EARTH DAY

Earth Day was created to inspire awareness and appreciation for Mother Earth and our environment. You can celebrate this day in many ways such as helping to clean up the environment in your neighborhood. You can also learn how you can create an eco-friendly home, neighborhood and backyard. Discover the natural beauty in nature; be a steward in an area that you are passionate about to heal planet earth. Re-cycle, reduce using harsh chemicals in our home, wash your car at your local car wash, so the chemicals go down the proper system, seek out organic solutions in your home and garden and learn how you can protect our wildlife.

John McConnell first introduced "Earth Day" at a UNESCO Conference on the Environment in 1969. This holiday goes beyond borders and is celebrated world wide. We only have one planet earth and if each one us makes little changes each day, we can make a difference. So, let's say 'yes' to looking after our planet and take positive action to create an environmental sustainability world.

In celebration of Earth Day I wanted to share a beautiful personal story. A few weeks back I experienced a beautiful view from our deck. I just put on a pot to brew my morning coffee and I took a moment to look at which birds were at our bird feeder, where the squirrels were feeding furiously today and then I looked into the woods and trees behind our home. We usually see chickadee's around our home and I know they are reminders for us to be cheerful and express ourselves truthfully.

When I got my binoculars out to get a clearer vision in the trees, I was in for this beautiful gift! First I saw the male red cardinal with his beautiful red chest and then I couldn't believe my eyes, as I looked closer into the trees. There were 40 to 50 female cardinals quietly sitting on the branches in the trees.

In Ted Andrew's book "Animal Speak" a favorite of mine, he states that the cardinal is a reminder for us to take time to renew our own vitality through recognizing our self-importance and the roles we play each day. Awaken your intuitive ability and begin to create space each day, to quiet the constant chatter of our egos and go within. Pay attention to your environment, your thoughts and all that shows up in your life. We are often so busy in our lives that we don't see, feel and sense the beauty around us. So, stop and take a moment to celebrate Earth Day and smell the roses.

I HAVE A DREAM

I'm sure you have all heard of the amazing charity worker Susan Boyle's appearance on the television program 'Britain's Got Talent', in London this week. This e-mail was forwarded to me and I watched the you-tube of Susan performing before I started my day in my home office. I smiled, I cried, I was thrilled for Susan, the judges and the audience. I loved watching and listening to her sing "I have a dream" from my favorite play "Les Miserables."

I knew right there and then, that I was going to write a blog about Susan and share her story about following your dream and making it a reality. This 47 year young Scottish charity volunteer became an international media sensation over night after her beautiful, talented, amazing, brilliant talent show performance. This week alone, she has been watched by 20.2 million people on the internet and the numbers are continuing to rise. She has already been written about, interviewed on shows and Susan will be interviewed on Oprah next week! She has a beautiful innocence and charm about her, along with being quite funny and cheeky, as the British would say! When she was asked what her next song would be on "Britain's Got Talent', she responded by saying "watch the show and find out!"

Susan Boyle - Singer - Britains Got Talent 2009

Susan reminds each one of us to follow our passions and live our dreams.

I just watched a fantastic movie called "Yes Man" with Jim Carrey playing the main character Carl. It is a wonderful metaphor on how we can dramatically change our lives by using one simple word in our vocabulary and say "YES" to life! Carl is post-divorced, bored with life, in a dead-end job and he has lost the zest for life. He bumps into an old friend who talks to him about a special meeting that would be great for Carl to attend and it just so happens to turn Carl's life around 180 degrees! This clear and powerful message is about each one of us opening up to life's possibilities. Life is full of unlimited possibilities and opportunities and when you choose "YES" to living life to the fullest, amazing transformation can happen.

Jim Carrey even did all of his stunts in this movie and said YES to the experience. He has always had this way of being, and perceiving the world, and even at the young age of 10, he contacted the Carol Burnett Show with the "Yes" thinking of possibly being on her show. He was already quite talented and could do 150 impressions at this age and he saw the world as his oyster! Jim received a letter from the show and they wished him all the best. They told him that they booked their talent through an agency for appearances on the show. Some people might of been disappointed and felt rejected, not Jim! He was thrilled that he even received a letter back from Hollywood and knew that one day he would live his dreams.

This brings me back to Susan's "I Have a Dream." I felt that Jim Carrey in real life, his character Carl, and Susan Boyle in her real life, share the same meaning, so say YES to life and follow your passions and live your dreams.

My challenge to you is to create a "Say Yes to Life" journal and start writing down your dreams now. Start visualizing the things you want to accomplish in your life and the places you want to travel, people you want to me and so on! This list will create a touch stone for you to start challenging yourself, expand yourself and step (no go ahead and jump in with two feet!) into the world of unlimited possibilities and live your life to your full potential and greatness. You can move through your list weekly or monthly, or just go with the flow. One of my "Say yes to Life" events on my list is to walk along the Wall of China. This will happen in the future at the perfect date and time and then I will check this off. The list will continually grow as you expand and explore new areas that you want to say Yes to. Have fun and know that life is definitely a journey and not a destination.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY AND SPRING

This week we celebrated St. Patrick's Day and Happy Spring! According to legend St. Patrick used the shamrock, a three leaved plant to explain the Holy Trinity to the pre-Christian Irish. Green is the colour most widely associated with Ireland and with St. Patrick's Day and the wearing of green has gained the meaning of wearing a shamrock on one's clothing.

St. Patrick's Day is an annual festival which celebrates Saint Patrick (circa AD 285-261) the patron saint of Ireland. The day is now a national holiday in Ireland and a bank holiday in Northern Ireland. In Canada, Great Britain, Australia, the United States and New Zealand, it is also widely celebrated!

The shamrock which was also called the "seamroy" by the Celts, was a very sacred plant in ancient Ireland because it symbolized the rebirth of spring.

My family background is of Scottish heritage and my husband's is Irish and I feel any celebration is an opportunity to celebrate diversity, unity, the power of one and life!

I love to dance and I grew up taking lessons on different forms of dancing. I enrolled at the National Ballet School of Dance in Toronto; I took classes with the Modern Dance Group and loved the grounding of dancing in bare feet and the sound of drums. I took jazz and tap as a little girl and continued this in my 20's! My main dance training was founded in Highland Dancing and I went on to achieve my Highland Dancing Teacher's certification. We were also taught Irish Dancing and the Irish Jig. We would put shows on for different organizations, events and senior homes. It was always fun and we nibbled on great food afterwards. Sometimes we received $10.00 each, which was great! Here is a picture of a person kicking his heels, in celebration of St. Patrick's Day!

I couldn't post me performing Irish Dancing, so I wanted to share with you these brilliant dancers! I have had the honor of attending one of these events and I could watch them perform all day! So, here is Michael Flatly, their Lord of the Dance, with his great dancing troupe and all I can say is WOW, BRILLIANT, AWESOME and I LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF THE SHOW!

Wishing you the luck of the Irish every day and Happy Spring!

SQUARE ROOT DAY & SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS

Today is the official "Square Root" Day, March 3, 2009. This is celebrated on days when both the day of the month and the month are the square root of the last two digits of the year. The last Square Root Day was February 2, 2004 (2/2/04) and the next Square Root Day will be April 4, 2016(4/4/16). The final Square Root day of the century will occur on September 9, 2081. WOW! Each century, Square Root Days fall upon the same nine dates. How awesome is that!

In celebration of Square Root Day, I would like to honor SpongeBob Squarepants from the brilliant "SpongeBob" cartoon series. I fell in love with the television series many years ago and love all the characters. The story line is about a SpongeBob Squarepants (a sponge) and the star of the show and his friends. His best friend who is Patrick Star (a star fish) enjoys doing anything his best friend SpongeBob does. They hang out and enjoy so many activities and outings together! Then there is Sandy Cheeks (a squirrel) and a land creature who wanted to live under the water and wears a pressurized suit. Next is Squidward Tentacles (an octopus) who is not the most positive person to hang out with. He could learn a lot from SpongeBob Squarepants and Patrick about going with the flow in life! Gary (a snail) is SpongeBob's pet and appears to be extremely smart. If you want to find out more about the show and the characters, I would invite you to start watching the series!

Below is one of my favorite scenes called "walk it off." I love it!

Stay tuned to Spongebob and remember to be flexible in life and go with the flow.

A few weeks ago we had a water breakage in front of our home. The Richmond Hill team came right over to see what was happening and said we had an emergency on our hands. They stated they would be back promptly the next morning early to look after the problem. We were out for the afternoon and when we arrived they had already started the preparation for the next day and there was a huge red bin set up up around the area of the leak! This really looked like a bigger job than we thought. The next morning the amazing crew began to arrive and worked diligently on fixing the problem.

These guys were amazing, along with being very funny! Our water was shut off so we couldn't make coffee or have a shower until they finished the project, but that was o.k. because we were going with the flow! Which was great because the next "go with the flow" arrived. I had an appointment to go to and when I got in my car, one windshield wiper was broken! I just laughed and my husband and our neighbor stepped up to the task of fixing this temporarily so I continued with the flow!

Here I am with the amazing Richmond Hill team! To my right is Chad, to my left is Wilf, Mike and Joe. Thanks guys!

The message here is to be flexible in life and go with the flow! All is well and if you look at the bigger picture, this became a funny story to share with all of you. It could also be material for a stand up routine! The possibilities are endless!

PRESIDENT'S DAY & OBAMA'S PASSION

How is Passion tied into the tradition of the annual Sugar Bowl celebration and President's Day?

I started a blog on the day of the inauguration but didn't have the opportunity to post it. This was a memorable day in history when Barack Obama took his solemn oaths and became America's 44th president. Many of us shared tears of joy and felt the passion in our hearts as we watched the inauguration and listened to the powerful speech Barack made. I believe Martin Luther King's famous quote "I Have a Dream" resonates with America's new president. I love this picture in front of the Martin Luther King Center! How powerful and awesome is that?

We talked about February being the month of Passion and Valentine's Day. I wanted to talk about a man who is passionate about life and I couldn't resist this exclusive interview (below) on NBC with President Obama.

His passion for his family, his beautiful wife Michelle, his beautiful daughters Malia and Sasha, his love of sports and football as he talks about the American tradition of the Sugar Bowl; thanking the troops who are away from their families and serving their country. His passions are so real, it is almost like having a real conversation with him in your living room!

He shares his feelings of his mother-in-law who lives with them in the White House and the fact that his mother-in-law supports him when Michelle comes down hard on him. Who shares this information honestly with the public today in the political environment? Wow! What a refreshing new and awesome beginning of a new era for all of us, with a leader who truly leads and inspires others to step up and be responsible in our lives.

He is a person who we can talk to, believe in and know he will do the best for his country and the people.

This is an amazing family and I am thankful that he is the President of the United States. Below is a great picture of the family traveling from their house in Hyde Park, Chicago and returning to their new home, the White House on Air Force One.

So, in the midst of the challenges we currently are all aware of and doing our best to keep these in perspective, he speaks honestly and openly, providing us with a guiding light and a role model to follow and can you imagine that, a politician who is really a leader and a role model. He inspires us all to walk our talk and regardless of what is going around us to just do it! Like Nike says - and step up to leadership.

Celebrate President's Day all week and send great vibes to the President and his family. Celebrate along with him, his passion's (one of them being Football), his family, all countries and celebrate your own passions every day!

It is up to you to choose how you are going to make a difference in your life and contribute to others and build strong communities? The challenge to step up to leadership, build strong communities and pay it forward one passion at a time.

Continue to Live the Infinite Passions!

Birthdays and Valentine's Day

Welcome to the fabulous month of February! Romance and love are in the air as we celebrate Valentine’s Day and it is also my birthday month! So, did you every ask how did this celebration get started and who really was Saint Valentine? If you would like to discover the history of this day, please go to http://www.history.com/content/valentine/history-of-valentine-s-day.

Did you know that your energy shifts every year around your birth date? This is my big 50th young birthday bash and I feel more energized and inspired to co-create many great events with some amazing people and make a difference in the world.

Here is a gem! When we were in St. Thomas US Virgin Islands, we found a wonderful family run store, Artistic-Jewelers www.artistic-jewelers.com. We met Max Daswani and Seresh Dadlani who asked us if they could help us. My son was looking for a new watch and I wanted to purchase a special necklace, called the 'Circle of Life" for my birthday. They shared their knowledge and introduced us to the story behind "The Journey" necklace. The journey is the continuation of the circle and marks the paths and directions we all take in life. It is the celebration of Life and a time to reflect on where you have been, where you are presently (the present = the gift) and where you are going. My hubby bought me the beautiful necklace called "the journey."

Remember the song The Age of Aquarius? Well the time is now and this year is going to be a powerful year as we move into the Age of Aquarius! On February 14th, 2009 an astrological concentration that will bring together a number of planets along with the North Node denoting higher purpose in Aquarius that will energize and inspire the possibility for transcendental breakthrough in some perhaps seemingly intransigent situations", Jude Currivan, PhD author, cosmologist, scientist and healer. Please go to http://www.judecurrivan.com/media-articles/articles/the-aquarian-alignment-14th-february-2009/ and join in on this powerful event.

I would like to think of Valentine’s Day as a year long celebration of the joy, love and passion in our lives. Of course, the tradition is to give chocolates, flowers and celebrate the day with loved ones. I will be having a romantic dinner with my hubby and spending time with my family and celebrating the love we have for each other.

I would like to present a challenge to you and ask you to email me at msutton@successbreakthrough.com or write on this blog your comments and how you celebrated this holiday. What would you do differently and how would you share your passions, your love, joy and happiness with others. How would this impact your life and the people you interact with each day? What if everyone made a point to tell others in their lives, how special they are and thank them, hug them and yes, kiss your partner more and say I love you! If we took more time to tell our friends, our parents, our children how special they are and stop and smell the roses! Yes Valentine roses!

So, ask yourself how would your life be if you celebrated love, joy, passion, each and every day in your life? In our family, we share our feelings and say every day, ‘I love you’ and celebrate the special time we share together. We might take long walks; share our ideas and our passions we have; spend time watching a show we all love; playing games and so much more.

This weekend we celebrated love and the joy we felt, as we put up a bird feeder on our deck. I was excited about this small event, as if it were like a diamond in the rough! We celebrate nature by enjoying the birds that are already coming to the feeder. We feel blessed that we can experience the love we have for animals and nature. I also had the opportunity to interview Harvey McKinnon, who co-authored with Azim Jama, the amazing book called “The Power of Giving: How GIving Back Enriches Us All. Jack Canfield says “The Power of Giving is a must read. Profit from reading it. Give it to everyone you love.”
Go to www.harveymckinnon.com to discover more about how you can give back in life. By reading this book and interviewing Harvey, it has inspired my family and myself to explore more ways that we can give back and ‘passion it on!’ http://thepowerofgiving.org/

I was also inspired to find out more about sponsoring a child which is something I have wanted to do for many years. So I took action and I will now be sponsoring a child. This is the group I am working with: sponsor a child.. There are so many ways to give back and wonderful groups. You can google "fundraising" and "non-profit groups" and find out which group you are passionate about giving back.

I would love to give back to many groups and this is the reason I am founding The Passion Challenge Dance. Sign up for my V.I.P. Club and stay tuned for the social network community we are launching in April 2009 and plan to launch this event 'LIVE' next year globally! We are looking for team players who want to be a part of something BIG! Let us know your expertise and how you would like to contribute to this event. Please go to production@successbreakthrough.com.

Again, there are so many charities and non-profit great organizations to donate to, either time volunteering, money, or sponsoring a child. It is a way to celebrate the love we have of people world wide.

So, ask yourself if you want to do something different this year or add to what you do each year to celebrate LOVE. Share your stories with us and we will add your story to our web site. Take videos and send pictures - we want to share with you.

SAMANA, DOMINICAN - THE JOURNEY

My family and I booked an Eastern Caribbean Cruise in December '08 and discovered the natural beauty of the Samana Island in the Domican Republic. Samana is a destination for nature lovers and adventurers. The island attracts many people, among these are eco-tourists (scuba divers, rock climbers, horseback riders and whale-watchers.) For many generations every winter, the humpback whales from the North Atlantic migrate to these protected and warm waters of the Bay of Samana. My family and I are planning to return to this island and continue to experience it's natural wonders.

This was our first visit to the port of Samana, Dominican Republic and it is definitely a gem in the Eastern Caribbean. We decided to book the ship's excursion "Waterfall Hike & Swim" and we were all excited about traveling into a hidden oasis which opened up to a beautiful cascade of water! The adventure began by boarding and traveling in an open air bus into the interior of the Samana Peninsula to reach the walking trail. Our knowledgeable and experienced guide shared his passion and love for the island, the people, the vegetation, culture and history.

I imagined that we would see many species of birds and be in a jungle atmosphere and being one with nature. After traveling throughout the countryside and experiencing the natural beauty of the island, (a school house on your left), we arrived at a ranch house. At this point, we were excited about continuing on our journey and adventure. Before the hike we exchanged our runners for rain boots (or wellies in British terms!) It was wonderful to meet so many other local, young experienced guides who helped us walk through the muddy and slippery paths before reaching the hidden and beautiful water falls. I instantly connected with my young 16 year old guide Lisa. Her husband was also a guide who offered a ride to individuals who did not want to walk along the path. I thoroughly enjoyed the time Lisa and I spent together. Not understanding each other's language we communicated verbally and non-verbally through gestures, smiles, laughing, pointing and just sharing our bond. We held hands on and off throughout the path and helped each other balance through the mud and rocks and at times we shared quiet moments. I wish I was fluent in the Spanish language as I could have communicated in more depth with Lisa to discover her passions, more about her family, friends and dreams. It was amazing to watch Lisa and her friends climbing trees for grapefruit and coconut and dropping these below. I was amazed at their agility and skill. The grapefruits were huge and juicy and not the ones we find back home in our grocery stores. The coconut juice was fresh and eating the coconut brought me to wonderful past memories of living on our sail boat in the Bahamas many years ago.

About 1/2 hour into our hike, we heard the powerful rushing of the water at the falls. The area was hidden from view by the path and then opened to a beautiful cascade of water, which fell into a clear, natural pool. I could not wait to get into the cool, fresh, mountain water and experience the thrill of being in the water surrounded by the mist. Two of the island people scaled the cliffs to dive into the water below. This was a special and spectacular event! They were immensely skilled and knew how to be extra careful to navigate themselves around the jagged rocks below. All an adventure I am grateful for and enjoyed every moment immensely.

People may talk about the poverty of the island. I choose to look at the people, who smiled and waved to us, as our bus went by. Children were laughing and playing and the island people were going about their day. I feel they also understand the simplicity of what is special in life and I truly felt connected to them.

I look forward to returning to this island and getting to know more about the island people. The joy and love I felt in my heart for them is strong and connects me to them. I am booked on a cruise in August to speak on a cruise line and one of the ports of call is Samana, so my wish comes true. My hope for you is that you create the your own opportunity to travel to this island, meet the people and experience the Waterfall Hike & Swim. Remember to give a hug and say a big hello to Lisa! I know I will when I return to the island in August 2009!

Bon Voyage! See you in Samana!

Comfort Zones and Expanding

Happy New Year 2009!

Wow! This year is going to be outstanding! Are you ready - soar? Patricia Diane, New Age Study of Humanity's Purpose http://eraofpeace.org states "2009 numerically is an 11 year. Eleven is the master number that reflects the transformation of the physical into the Divine. The archetypes for the patterns of perfection for the New Earth were securely anchored into the physical plane in August 2008. In 2009, through our creative faculties of thought and feeling, we will expand these patterns into our daily experiences. 2009 is going to be whatever we co-create together. " (c) 2008 Patricia Diane Cota-Robles

I'm extremely excited about 2009 and know that people are coming together world wide to create something bigger than themselves. The Power of Unity and celebrating diversity. This is why I'm founding and co-creating the Passion Challenge Dance in April 2009. The event represents the universal language that we all speak of joy, love, compassion, mother earth, passion and brings people together to make a difference and give back to community. Very Powerful! I invite you to join our V.I.P. Club (Vision, Integrity and Passion/Purpose) at www.successbreakthrough.com and be a part of this event.

Ask yourself what is it that you want to create, be and do in 2009? What will be different and how are you going to challenge yourself to work outside of your comfort zones and expand? I love to challenge myself when I move into the 'fear' factor which is really an illusion (false evidence appearing real). Our family was on a mini trip north of Ontario this summer and my husband and son went off to the event, Paint Ball. I was not interested in this at the time (contrast is awesome) and choose to move out of a false 'fear' I had of parasailing. I used to love heights and in the past I have sky dived and also parasailed many years ago in Mexico. So, I decided to book right there and then, to parasail today! Well you know, I was a little nervous, but here I go!

The website for this awesome team is www.bigkahunaparasailing.com and this was at the Deerhurst Resort, Huntsville, Muskoka www.deerhurstresort.com. As I quickly moved up into the air, I was swinging back and forth and was starting to focus on the little hook that hooks me on! Well, that hook got my attention and dialogue for a short period of time and then I said "these guys (Mike and Jay), know what they are doing and I'm not ready to die at this time, so move into trust and focus on the great views and 'be' in the moment! That decision to shift my attention to enjoy the whole experience was the 'key' to moving into a better feeling e-motion. Remember energy plus motion attracts the same vibe into your life experience. The guys even took me down and dipped me in the water. I did ask myself what were they doing for a moment and then down I went and rose quickly again up into the sky! These guys are an amazing team, so check them out if you want to experience this adventure.

So, you might want to ask, what does this have to do with challenging ourselves? We are beings of expansion and it is important to move out of your comfort zones (safely) every day. Challenge yourself to commit to doing something different that moves you into this zone. Experience a yoga class, read a new book, make a cold call, take a music lesson or book a speaking gig. I'm challenging myself right now to learn how to blog and how Facebook, Dig, Twitter, Plaxo and Linkedin, play into the world of communication on the internet .

You know what is cool? You get to make the decision on how you are going to expand, grow and live your life today to the fullest potential! Write to us and share your story and leave your comments on the blog. Remember life is a journey and not a destination and you will continue to grow each day!

Live the Passion!
